Giving Back to Mr J
Donation protected
In September of 2023, David Johnson (aka: Mr. “J” or Coach “J”) suffered a stroke that has greatly impacted his life. Unfortunately, he and his dear wife Elvira have been paying out a lot of dollars for the numerous medical bills, moving to a new place on ground level to accommodate his medical needs, and renovating it to meet those special needs.
David can be described in many words, but the one that comes to mind first is: “Selfless”. He is the most caring, gentle and selfless man you could meet. He is kind to everyone and would do anything to help you.
David is a Patrick Henry alumnus (class of 1970) and has spent his life (over 32 years) enriching the youth of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Crystal, MN in the roles of athletic director, gym teacher and coach. ***ETA: I was just informed this is Mr. J’s 47th year with St. Raphael! Simply amazing.
David also coached varsity basketball at Totino Grace, Benilde-St. Margaret, and Cooper High Schools and freshmen at Irondale. His dedication and love for his students, players, colleagues, & friends has extended beyond the gym and has reached many in those communities.
David is always willing to lend a hand a helping. It is our turn to help him in his time of need. David never asks for anything, but we know he needs all the love, prayers and support we can give him right now.
Prayers and love are so important, but in our world, so is money. Help us lessen the burden by providing some financial relief for him. All money donated will go directly to David to help with medical bills, the new condo, renovation and other living expenses.
If you would like to donate directly to the Johnson’s, please contact me directly via text to [phone redacted] and I can give you mailing information.
Thank you in advance for your thoughtful prayers and support to a wonderful Christ centered man of God & God Bless each of you as we join hand in hand in this adventure called “Love one another. As I have loved you (John 13:34)
