Madison Mock is an incredible young lady. She is a hard-working student who loves to be active and outdoors, competing on the swim team, hiking in the Colorado mountains, and spending time walking her two dogs Astro and Bear. One day last summer while swimming her mother noticed what appeared to be a curve in Maddie’s spine. Madison was referred to a neurosurgeon in Minot that suggested wearing a very uncomfortable and expensive back brace for 23 hours per day to try and prevent further curvature. Unfortunately her back only worsened and was referred to a pediatric neurosurgeon team at the University of Minnesota. A few days ago at this appointment, the team informed Madison that she would need a full-fusion surgery ASAP. Madison has never once complained or felt victimized by her sudden experience, but rather took this challenge and people bullying her for the condition head on with a positive and happy outlook on life. This money will alleviate medical bills, hotel stays, food, travel, and missed paychecks due to the seriousness and longevity of the healing process after surgery. Thank you for sharing, caring, and if you are able during these tough times please help this amazing young lady out.
