Giving back to Made (Widi)
Donation protected
Due to the Covid-19 disaster our good family friend who is a tour guide in Bali is undoubtedly going to be doing it tough with a family of 5 to feed.
Anyone who’s ever been to Bali knows that the entire country is run by the tourist dollar.
No flights in means the place is a ghost town & to say the locals will struggle is an understatement.
There ain’t no Centrelink support over there and if you don’t work your family don’t eat.
Made, or Widi to his friends is one of the most humble, kind, generous people I have ever met & is a gentleman through and through.
On my first trip to Bali, I had my credit card skimmed and lost thousands of dollars. As soon as Widi found out about this, refusing payment, he spent two days of his time driving us around and liaising with the police for us to get it investigated and made sure we were not stranded anywhere.
Since then we have met his beautiful family, been invited to his house and on every trip he has done everything in his power to make sure we are always okay.
I’m sure many of you have had the same experience with Widi and I feel like the least we can do to repay him for everything he has done for us!
Widi has recently had a motorcycle accident which has left his family without any way of gaining an income locally, on top of losing the tourist income his family so heavily relies on.
Widi has never been about the almighty dollar and has treated myself, and my friends and family as if we were his family. Widi has not asked us for any help as he is too proud and modest and he will be embarrassed with my efforts but If we can ease his financial situation if will make life for his struggling family just that little bit easier!
I know times are tight and we are all looking to reel in the finances however a couple of dollars means bugger all to us and added up will be the world of difference to our old mate.
If you can’t spare any money please share it on Facebook with your friends!
Thanking you in advance from the bottom of my heart ❤️
