Giving Back to Julie Nicolay

For those of you who know Julie Nicolay, you know that she's one of the most incredibly giving and generous people you could imagine. She's an amazing musician who played the brass parts on most of my CDs and part of what makes her so amazing is that she gives as much to the music as she does in the rest of her life. Which is so, so much. I've never seen her not be able to smile and bring joy to those around her.

Right now Julie is in the hospital having fractured an ankle and had surgery on her other foot. She's not able to work for a while and will be looking for a place to live when when she's back on her feet. In the meantime, let's help her get back on her feet. It's so important right now to let each other know that we care, that we're here, that we love and support each other. If she weren't cooped up in a hospital, Julie would probably be out cheering someone up - in fact I know that she's already made friends with the staff and interns. She is a positive force to be reckoned with!

I've had help in my life, and it's a beautiful magical thing - it not only eases your worry, it reaffirms that the world is a kind and generous place, and that it is filled with good hearts. Miracles happen, and sometimes we help.
