Hello, my name is Beth Pine. This week we were heartbroken to hear about a tragic accident that has rocked the world of our dear friend, co-worker and high after school program coordinator, Jennifer Raye.

Jen's daughter was in a horrible car accident Halloween evening and she was rushed to Santa Rosa hospital. She suffered brain trauma, among other injuries, and is home receiving around the clock care from Jennifer, while they monitor her daughter's condition to determine if she will need brain surgery.

Those of you who know Jennifer know she will always give to others, and never ask for herself. She has a kindness and compassion for everyone she meets, and I have never heard her say a negative word about anyone, student or adult.

Jennifer has given so much love and attention to our community and to the countless high school students her program has served over the years, but has always been employed as a part-time worker in her role, and has raised two children alone on a limited salary.

Now Jen needs to be able to focus all her attention on her dear daughter, and she should be allowed to have her capable staff to run her program.

Let's give back to Jen with an outpouring of love and support that is equal measure to the many, many years she has given to our community in the past.
