Giving Back to Brenda Ferrer

To say that 2020 has been a challenging year is an understatement.   If you are reading this, you likely have been touch by Brenda Ferrer (Not Da Momma, Momma #2, LG, Auntie Bren, etc). She has the biggest heart and has a huge personality that always light up a room and a great cook.    Brenda has been battling diabetes for many years but in October things took a major turn for the worst.

There is a reason why they say kidney disease is a silent killer.  It develops over a long period of time, and many people do not know they have it until it is very far long.  Like many others, Brenda didn’t suspect a thing.

She left Dutch Harbor for a long awaited and deserved vacation from work to see family and friends.   Instead of enjoying the much needed time to visit family and places she planned on seeing, Brenda was hospitalized due to a kidney failure.  She will have to go to dialysis three times a week for the rest of her life until she can get a kidney transplant. 

 If you know Brenda personally you know that she is a hard-working individual that doesn't take handouts, in fact she was the one that always organize fundraising events to help out others in need.  She wouldn’t ask, so we are asking for her.  We have created this page to help out with the unexpected bills including hospital stays, co pays, medical bills, as well as medications that she will need to take.  They finally moved her to a rehabilitation facility where she will continue to get dialysis, therapy and be completely monitored.  Please if you are in a position to help, donate.  We understand everybody is in a precarious situation with Covid but a donation of any size is appreciated.
