Giving Back to a Man Who Gives His All

My loving and devoted husband, Josh Bush, is an amazing father to our 13th year old son, Landon. He often goes above and beyond for those he cares about. He is a kind and hard worker. When it comes to helping the people in his life, saying "no" does not come easily to him.

Unfortunately, Josh became very ill recently with pneumonia caused by an unknown underlying infection. He has been hospitalized since Monday, December 13th, and we are not sure when he will be released. An infectious disease specialist is evaluating multiple tests to determine what might be the cause of this serious infection.

This is the 4th time in 5 years that he has had pneumonia, and the 2nd time he has been hospitalized for it. He is in good hands, and we hope and pray to have answers soon for him to be well enough to come home.

As some of you know, I have sustained a rather nasty injury slipping on some mud on November 12th. I broke my leg and ankle as well as dislocated it. I had surgery where two plates and a screw were inserted to repair it. I have 8 of 12 weeks left of non-weight bearing recovery, followed by a plan for intensive physical therapy. I am on the mend slowly but surely.

We wished the story ended there. Unfortunately, five days after my accident, Josh was let go from his job. Luckily, we have health coverage through my work. Even so, the medical bills have begun to pile up, and with 60% of our household income being lost, we do not know what our future holds.

We still don't have a date for when Josh might be discharged from the hospital but are hopeful that we find answers soon.

I know many individuals and familes have been helped by Josh. All I want for Christmas is for my husband to know how much we all care for him and that he can focus on healing rather than going back to work right away.
