Giving a little to Mrs. C

On September 27, 2017, Barbara Catricala suffered a fall which resulted in a traumatic brain injury. Since then, she has been through brain surgery, a subsequent infection, an additional brain surgery and countless hours of speech and physical therapy. She has spent the last three months in hospitals and rehab facilities. It has been a very long road for her and her girls, and will continue to be as she prepares to transition home in the upcoming weeks.
Growing up, Mrs. C has always been there for so many of us, completely selfless and always caring. Her home was always open, she has always been there to lend an ear or to make you laugh so hard you cried. I would like to start this page to give back to her and to try to ease the minds of Gina and Marisa when she finally makes the move home. Alterations are going to have to be made to make sure she is in a safe environment so she can gain back some of her independence. A ramp to enter her home, hand rails and an accessible shower are just a few of the things she will need when she returns home to assist her daily. Please consider giving a little to help someone who has always given so much of herself.
