Giving a helping hand to Bob Hockley

As long time friends of Bob we have set up this fundraiser to help out Bob Hockley and his family while they battle some tough times.
Bob, a proud father and grandfather has spent his life working as a truck driver and providing for his family through his business Hockley’s Haulage. Over recent years though Bob’s health has deteriorated to the point he can no longer work and his business, family income and quite simply his quality of life is suffering.
After experiencing excruciating pain through his back, neck and arms Bob was rushed in to have urgent surgery in November 2020 to relieve pressure that was being in inflicted on his spine causing him to lose feeling and function in his right hand and arm. This surgery was called an Anterior Cervical Discectomy and fusion.
In addition to this it was discovered Bob’s back is riddled with arthritis, spurs, and a large amount of compression pressing on his spinal cord that as of today has resulted in him having no function and feeling his right hand to the point he cannot lift or move it, function to his left arm and hand becoming limited and the loss of some function, in his right leg, causing him not to be able to walk properly and loose balance.
Unfortunately the first surgery has not worked and as Bob’s symptoms continue to get worse he has begun specialised injections into his lower spine however it is more then likely a second surgery is now on the cards. Each surgery comes with a high level of risk as well as a long road to recovery that is not guaranteed to provide any improvement whatsoever just hopefully stop it from getting worse.
Bob is a proud man who always looks after his family & friends but as this fight its becoming harder with each day we are asking anyone who is able to donate to Bob Hockley and his beautiful family to hopefully relieve some of the pressures they are currently under.
