Brett & Maria Renfeldt are suffering the loss of their precious baby daughter Mercedez Brielle Renfeldt (“Sadie”) due to overwhelming and persistent health challenges. It has been an uphill battle for Sadie and her family since her birth eight months ago and complicated heart issues that came with it. Brett and Maria’s relentless commitment to Sadie, despite the odds, has been inspiring. They are tremendous parents who have sacrificed so much for Sadie and are now carrying the unimaginable burden of grieving her.

We have seen many people reach out asking how they can help. The Renfeldts are not the kind to expect or ask for financial assistance, but we feel the most helpful way for friends, neighbors, and colleagues to assist and support them as they face a financial mountain of medical bills while dealing with the dark valley of grief is to donate to a GoFundMe created to help pay the medical bills and funeral expenses.

Donating even a small amount can make a meaningful difference. Sadie courageously fought to survive, but her little heart just couldn’t make it. If we each open our hearts to help by donating what we can, the financial stress in her parents lives can be lightened, and they can focus on healing the hearts of the rest of their family members.
