A Day For Those In Need
A Day for Those in Need is a fundraiser to give a homeless man/woman a chance at making his/her life better enabling him/her to contribute to society. There are thousands of people who live on the streets around the country however, very few people are willing to share their wealth with the less fortunate and give those who deserve it a second chance, or for some, a first chance (being born into poverty).
Our goal: To raise between $4000 - $6000 to give the means for a homeless man/woman to turn his/her life around.
How will the funds will be obtained?
Aside from this page, a fundraiser car wash will be held at BP gas station

Where will my money go to?
Some funds will be used to cover basic needs such as, clothing, shoes, a nutritious meal, a motel for a shower and a nights stay or two, a hair cut, backpack and other various supplies, and one reasonable/doable wish to be payed in full. Our hope is set this man/woman up for a future job interview to promote self sufficiency. Other funds will be used to pay for future car washes and fundraisers.
How will we determine who gets the money?
We will solicit a name from a local shelter. The goal is to find someone who has no history of drug or alcohol abuse. We hope to start our initiative after raising a minimum of $2000.
How do I know my money will be used as promised?
Videos will be used to capture the changing of a life. A compilation of videos will be posted on this page and YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIOvIcjBVezimEDFO0Q44fA to show the raising of the money, the process we went through to make this event happen, and of us spending the day with the lucky soul.
