My good friend, Nari, passed away on December 18th. She was many things: photographer, poet, musician and traveler. 

She lived a full life in her short forty years. She graduated from Stanford University with a CS degree. She attended festivals in Portugal, New York, California and on and on. She loved writing reviews about her favorite obscure new bands’ albums. 

Those aspects are really just the tip of the iceberg. Her caring and her generosity were the biggest part of her identity. 

Nari would help her friends with abandon. She wanted to help everyone. She donated her time and money to many causes, big and small. 

So, this GoFundMe is about filling the void of her generosity. All donations will be given to this group of charities:

These charities are based in Des Moines (where she lived until 12) and Austin (where she spent most of her life). They are intended to represent the causes she cared about: environmentalism, equality, feeding the hungry, helping the homeless, science education and supporting local music. 

All donations will be divided up evenly and donated to these charities. More may be added over time.
