Given to so many; now need help themselves
Donation protected
Maureen and Fran DeTar fell in love in Reno, NV at Bishop Manogue High School almost 42 years ago, married in 1982, and have raised five children. They are now actively involved in the lives of their seventeen grandchildren.
Maureen teaches school in their Idaho community, and Fran has recently completed his advanced nursing degree and works as an ARNP, fulfilling his lifelong dream of helping others. Throughout the years, they have been among the first to respond when anyone in the family or in their community needed help with meals, prayers and more.
Now, they are facing a severe challenge themselves, and have exhausted their own resources covering the costs related to life-saving healthcare and medication for Fran, who is recovering from a vertebral artery dissection. This is a very serious condition that only time (6-9 months)and medication can heal, and while Fran is convalescing at home for 4-6 weeks, he is unable to work and Maureen is working very part-time. Although they belong to a health share cooperative, the coverage does not include medication costs and some other needed help. These extra costs have quickly drained the couple's savings. With many more weeks of treatment and uncertainty ahead of them, they are in need of your prayers and, if you are able, your financial assistance. No contribution is too small and will be appreciated just as much in helping to lighten their financial load.
Please join us, the extended family of Mo and Fran DeTar, in helping to cover his treatment and related costs, including a high deductible, and blood pressure, pain management, and steroid meds while Fran recovers, as well as subsequent imaging and procedures scheduled in December and January. If you are in a position to help with a financial gift of ANY size, you can donate through this link. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to support them during this scary and difficult time.
Thank you.
