UPDATE: Gilly Got his heart on Wednesday, October 11th!!!! Now he's focused on recovery. Given the costs of the surgery, he and his family need financial assistance more than ever. Any and all gifts are very much appreciated!

Over 26 years ago, Richard Gilgenbach Sr. was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and the only remedy was a heart transplant. The Fond du Lac community rallied around the Gilgenbach family and helped to “Give A Heart To Gilly” in 1989.
Fast forward almost three decades, and Gilly is still going strong! However, his eldest son, his namesake – Richard Gilgenbach Jr., is heading down the same path and will also require heart transplant.
Even with medical insurance, Dick Jr.’s family is faced with the completely overwhelming financial burden related to upcoming surgeries, hospital stays, tests, prescription drugs and much, much more.
Dick Jr. needs our help! We need the community to rally the same way they did to help his dad so long ago. Your donation on this site will be step #1 in making that happen.
