Give Zuri a Fighting Chance Against IMHA
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
Yesterday, my sweet Zuri was diagnosed with Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA)—a life-threatening condition where her immune system is attacking and destroying her red blood cells. Right now, she’s fighting for her life in an animal hospital.
My fur baby didn’t respond to her first blood transfusion, and her journey to recovery will require an extended hospital stay, more transfusions, and ongoing treatment to stabilize her and determine the underlying cause of her illness. The cost of this care is overwhelming, and I need your help to give Zuri a fighting chance.
Zuri’s Story
Zuri came into my life on March 29, 2021, when I adopted her from a shelter in Palm Springs. From the very first night, I knew we were meant to be. During the pandemic, when everything felt uncertain, Zuri became my light.
She’s not just my dog—she’s my family, my emotional support, my best friend. Zuri has a sweet, funny, and loving personality that charms everyone she meets. Whether it’s her playful antics, like throwing her bed around so hard her sweater slips off, or her love for meeting new people (and getting endless pets), Zuri brings joy to everyone around her.
She’s been my rock through tough times, comforting me with her gentle paws on my shoulder and kisses that melt away my worries. She’s also brought so much happiness to my family, especially my mom, with whom she shares a special bond.
Zuri rescued me as much as I rescued her. I can’t imagine life without her. She's only 5 years young.
How You Can Help
Zuri’s fight isn’t over, but I can’t do this alone. Her treatment costs are mounting, and I need support to give her the best chance at recovery. That’s why I’m asking for your generosity—whether it’s $5, $50, or whatever you can give. Every donation gets us closer to bringing Zuri home where she belongs.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with others who might be able to help. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean the world to us.
Zuri is a fighter, and with your help, I know she can make it through this. Thank you for helping me save my fur baby.
