On December 24th, 2019 Edward Aschoff passed away from hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and undiagnosed stage 4 non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. It was his 34th birthday.
We lost a lot when we lost Edward. He was a loved one, a friend, a family member and a very talented college football journalist at ESPN.
We no longer have Edward, but we do have his legacy. That legacy should be carried on to future journalists who share his passion for people and storytelling.
The Edward Aschoff Memorial Fund was created to provide financial assistance to aspiring journalists at the University of Florida; his alma mater.
Due to a low volume of resources, the Edward Aschoff Memorial Fund has not been fully funded. We must act swiftly, for Edward. Your donation will directly benefit under-represented journalism students pursuing their passion & finding their voice in media, just like Edward did.
We'll be running this fundraiser until midnight on December 24th with the goal to raise $34,000 on behalf of Edward. This Christmas, please donate to save Edward's memorial fund and tell everyone you know to Give their Aschoff!
