Yara Chehab is a courageous 17-year-old Lebanese girl fighting a life-threatening battle. She has been diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and Pulmonary Hypertension, a severe and rare condition now in stage 2 — a point at which the disease becomes fatal without urgent intervention.
Despite her young age, Yara has endured a life of hospital visits, oxygen therapy, and a heavy regimen of medications that cost around $2,500 per month. But her condition is worsening. The only remaining hope is a heart and lung transplant, a complex procedure that can save her life — but it comes at a devastating cost of $580,000 USD.
Every dollar makes a difference.
Lebanon has been going through one of the worst economic crises in its history. Since the collapse of the Lebanese pound, families like ours have been struggling to meet even basic medical expenses. International donations are not just welcome — they are our only lifeline. The healthcare system is overwhelmed, and without external support, this lifesaving surgery simply cannot happen.
Doctors at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi have accepted Yara’s case and confirmed her priority status for organ donation due to her age. Now we just need the funds to move forward — quickly.
This is an urgent, life-saving appeal. Please, if you are reading this:
Help us give Yara the chance to live.
No donation is too small. Every bit brings us closer. Every share expands our reach.
From the bottom of our hearts,
Thank you.
