Give Willow a Voice: Support for AAC Device

Donation protected
Hi friends. Normally we wouldn’t be airing out our daughter’s business like this, but given recent circumstances we feel as though it’s necessary. Our oldest daughter was just diagnosed with level 3 Autism and anxiety, her anxiousness is likely due to being unable to communicate properly. If you ask other parents of autistic children how long it takes to get diagnosed and into therapy, you’d probably be met with a lot long waitlist times. Unfortunately that’s the case for us, Willow was on a wait list since December of 2023 just to learn today that the wait list for all the therapies are going to take months as well. If you don’t know, early intervention is only available until 3 years old and we’re very quickly approaching the cut off. (Only 6 months left) We are desperate to give her a voice so she can start to navigate the world better. This world is big and loud, it’s scary to not have a voice or understand. If you know us then you know we’ve NEVER been ones to ask for anything willingly, but this time it’s for our babies benefit. We’ve set up a go fund me for a tablet and a AAC device app called proloquo2go. It would exclusively be used for this app, we never thought we would need something like this, it’s going to be a difficult but rewarding journey for our family. Every bit counts and we appreciate even taking the time to read this. ❤️❤️
