My name is Tiffany. I’m 34 years old and a devoted Frenchie mom to my 3-year-old baby, Willow. Willow is truly my world—she’s the one thing I look forward to every single day.
On January 24th, we were enjoying a beautiful day in Moorpark at one of our favorite local parks. Willow was running around and seemed perfectly happy. Later that night, I noticed she started panting excessively. At first, I thought it might be a reaction to a new probiotic I had just started her on, since panting can be a side effect.
The next day, however, Willow was still panting for long periods of time, so I took her to the emergency vet. That’s when we received the devastating news: Willow was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). We were sent home with steroid medication and pain relievers, hoping that would help.
Unfortunately, the very next day—January 26th—Willow’s back legs began to collapse. I rushed her to another emergency vet where she was seen by a neurologist. They advised that Willow needed an MRI as soon as possible and that surgery would need to be scheduled immediately.
This diagnosis and surgery were completely unexpected and unplanned. I love my Willow more than anything, and I am doing everything I can to give her the best chance at recovery. Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean the world to us and help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, love, and kindness.
