Help Ousseynou Return to Cape Verde to Rebuild His Life

After a recent attack, our dear friend Ousseynou has been recovering both physically and mentally at home in Senegal. He is almost fully recovered, but now needs the final push to truly rebuild his life: a one way ticket back to his work in Cape Verde.

Returning to Cape Verde is crucial for Ousseynou's well-being, as it means going back to his job and rejoining his band as a drummer.

Work and his music are vital parts of his identity and recovery.

Support for Weuz (Ousseynou Sene)

Our dear friend Weuz, a beloved member of Sabi Grupo Djembe, known for his peaceful and loving spirit, was attacked in Santa Maria, Sal, Cape Verde on Thursday, August 14th.

He sustained serious injuries to his abdomen and was rushed to the hospital in Espargos. He underwent surgery and is now in recovery.

He needs our help.

Weuz is currently facing medical bills and is unable to work—both at his day job and performing with Sabi Grupo Djembe. Traveling to Senegal may be the best option for him to rest, recover, and receive specialized care.
