Hope for Vitória A Tiny Fighter’s Battle in the ICU

My name is Hannah Butler and I am reaching out with a heavy heart and a plea for a little soul who hasn’t given up yet.

Recently, a puppy named Vitoria came to me from a rescue with little to no resources and I saw a life worth saving, but I didn't realize how hard she would have to fight just to see tomorrow. Right now, Vitoria is in the ICU at Seres Veterinary hospital in São Paulo battling a severe parasite and pneumonia. She is currently critical but stable condition (she had a blood transfusion yesterday) and receiving round-the-clock care to keep her stable.

As many of you know, I live with a chronic illness. My health challenges often make life a balancing act, but my work with foster dogs and rescue have always been the light that keeps me going. I wanted to give this puppy the same chance at a beautiful life, but the reality of medical costs has hit a breaking point.

The ICU bills are mounting by the night. I have poured everything I have into her recovery, but as someone on a limited income due to my own health, I simply cannot afford many more days of the specialized care she needs to survive.

The doctors say she is a fighter and I see that too. She has a spark in her eyes that tells me she isn't ready to go. She just needs a little more time and the medicine that can get her over this hump.
