Folks wont adopt her because they say she’s too wild!!! — 

Valentina and I need your help. A little puppy arrived at my house in Uruapan, Michoacán, México on August 21st at 3 am! It was cold and rainy outside; I felt awful for the pup. I looked around, hoping to find its mother, but nothing.

That morning, I took her to the hospital. Turns out she had a hernia from a previous bite, was horribly malnourished, and dealing with a stomach infection and parasites. The vet estimated she was around 3-4 months old and a German Shepherd mix. Three months later, and this incredibly brave puppy has recovered beautifully! It’s why I named her: VALENTINA.

Unfortunately, most of Mexico doesn’t have dog shelters. So, I decided to foster her until I could find her a home. But she hasn’t had any luck with an adoption, and I just can’t keep her. I have a 12-year-old Schnoodle who is incredibly territorial and just won’t accept her. AND, I live in a small house with no room for a pup like her to run around.

The people who have shown interest in adopting Valentina end up not taking her, stating that “she’s too wild” or that she jumps too much, and that she has “wayyyy too much energy.” SHE’S NOT WILD!!! SHE’S A PUPPY!!!

So, in an effort to help her find a home, I’ve decided to enroll her in an obedience training program, in addition to getting her neutered.

I’ve got the time, the love, and will make it work for her (in terms of my ‍dog), but I’m hoping you can help me out so that I can cover these costs.

- Training is $7,700 pesos (around $430 dollars)

- Neutering $1,200 pesos (around $67 dollars)

I would love to be able to continue fostering puppies in Michoacán, but I don’t earn dollars anymore. And puppy care isn’t cheap around here.
