Hi! My name is Lindsay and I’m working to get Toad the medical attention he needs and deserves! Toad has been at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Shelter since May 9 with suspected heat stroke, but there was very little info on him. When I met him, he was calm, polite, curious, and sweet as can be!

Unfortunately, I was told he had an elongated soft palate, which seems to be pretty severe based on his constant labored breathing. This will require a very expensive surgery (estimated $5000+)! He also has many scrapes, bumps, and bruises that need to be assessed, and he still needs to be neutered! Toad is also a bit overweight but nothing some patience and encouragement can’t fix :)

Toad deserves a chance at a normal life!

Funds will be used for surgery on his soft palate, neuter, and care while he recovers!
