My name is Jason Ehlen, and I am the head football coach at Reno High School. I am fundraising for the Grenert family, who tragically lost their son, Hayden, over spring break. Hayden's dad, Todd, works for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and has been part of the Reno High athletic community since 2020. On March 9th, Todd helped to organize an inspirational FCA lunchtime meeting for students with Coach Pete Savage as our guest speaker. It was a great meeting and a highlight of our spring semester in FCA thus far. That evening, Hayden Grenert was injured in a car accident and rushed to Renown Hospital. Hayden remained in intensive care for the following six days, where he remained in sedation. Tragically, Hayden left this world on Tuesday, March 15th. He was only sixteen. The Grenert family has suffered a devastating loss and this is an opportunity for the Reno High community to rally around Todd, Danita and Jackson and show the same love and support that Todd has provided to Reno High students student-athletes and coaches over the past two years. The funds raised will go directly to the Grenert family to assist with paying for medical bills and find ways that they can remember and honor Hayden moving forward.
