My name is Hannah and I grew up in Lafayette. I am hosting a GoFundMe for the Cajina family.

This is the story of our dear friend and community member, Alexis, who went to his scheduled court hearing in San Francisco one month ago for continued asylum in the US. Instead, he was taken into custody. He is being held and is scheduled for another court appearance in January 2026. He has a 10 year old stepdaughter and wife. His wife continues to work in order to support their family. Alexis was working two jobs at the Social Bird and Tutu’s here in Lafayette to support his family. Now, it’s our turn to support them.
