Welcome!
Please join me in fundraising for the S.A.V.E. campaign of Livable Ventura Inc.
Seaward
Alessandro
Vista Del Mar
et' al.
The S.A.V.E. campaign is raising funds specifically for development projects that effect the Seaward Corridor in Ventura, California. We are the community's eye on upcoming projects and in city council meetings and hearings.
Our purpose is to hold developers and city staff accountable, promote transparency, and keep you, our neighbors informed.
Development should follow our Certified Local Coastal Plan, Land Use designations and zoning codes which respect the small beach town scale, character and protect our cherished island and hill views.
This valuable service is sustained with the help of your kind donations. We are grateful for any contribution made.

Seaward Corridor News May 2025:
Design Review Meeting for the 215 KB Home proposed project.
May 7th, 2025 at 5:30PM
Proposed KB Homes 215 Unit Project Plans available upon request.
At the Nov 2023 City Council meeting we were able to influence the reduction of the huge KB Homes project at the top of Alessandro and Vista Del Mar from 394 units to 215. While we are not thrilled with that number as it relates to the local infrastructure, it is a big reduction, and we are paying close attention to its future development.
The 15.2 acre parcel is currently zoned Industrial, and the proposed Land Use change to low/medium density residential (7-14 units per acre) still needs to prepare an Environmental Impact Report and follow CEQA regulations prior to going to the California Coastal Commission for final approval.
We are prepared to be there each step of the way!

A massive Seaward Corridor project coming to the Design Review and Planning Commission in May of 2025. The Anastasi mixed Use project on Harbor, Seaward and Pierpont Blvd. will be 52 feet tall and block ocean, island and hill views for 10's of thousands of residents and visitors unless we get them to follow the 35 foot maximum allowed by the zoning.
The DRAFT Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND EIR) is now available for review. https://www.cityofventura.ca.gov/DocumentCenter/View/44191/Anastasi-Development-Draft-IS-MND
The Anastasi project #15022 should be coming up this month. I'll update you when the date and agenda are posted.

Our Mission
Livable Ventura believes in balanced growth that follows the City’s Vision Plan and established codes. We support housing for all income levels and work to ensure that new developments fit in with the surrounding neighborhoods and preserve Ventura’s culture, history, and coastal environment.
We couldn’t do this without you. Every letter written, every dollar donated, and every survey taken are small victories toward keeping Ventura Livable. Thank you so much for your continued support.
“We will work together to protect the characteristics we cherish the most: the California beach town character; views of and access to the ocean and hills; our rich history;…”
Don't let what has been cherished, protected and preserved for 100’s of years be destroyed for generations to come.
Your gift supports current efforts to fight back against the KB Home proposed project at 2325 Vista Del Mar Drive, the Anastasi Project #15022 on Pierpont & Harbor and other Seaward Corridor projects not following our zoning regulations, providing any public benefit or allowing public involvement.
The Cause: To stop the selling of our City, our quality of life, our safety and our PUBLIC coastal resources for private profit.
SAVE was formed in opposition to the developments impacting the Seward Corridor, one of the gateways to our beautiful city, and THE connection between Midtown and Pierpont. This is a Coastal Zone community that will be heavily impacted by increased traffic, loss of views, dangerous congestion during emergencies, and a decrease in quality of life. These long time neighborhoods have been a staple of Ventura for generations and deserve a SPECIFIC PLAN for increased density, not just parcel, by parcel rezoning. It became one of many projects under the umbrella of Livable Ventura Inc. and is now a non-profit
501 (c)(3).
We are NOT a one size fits all community. Super dense, 4+ story mega-structures are not appropriate in the Coastal Zone or in 1-2 story neighborhoods.
Thank you for caring enough to help SAVE Ventura.
Infill, not overfill.
Let's keep Ventura, Ventura.
