Dearest friends and family,

My family and I have decided to plant a new tree and name a bench in Prospect Park, Brooklyn in memory of Fred. Please feel free to join us by contributing as much or as little as you wish: $10, $25 or anything you want to give to help move this forward. Feel free to contribute anonymously or not at all.

Many people have reached out asking what they can do and I thought this would be a nice memorial effort for the long term.

We will host a reception in the spring to dedicate the memorial.

Every day since dad went to the hospital I would get out of bed, put on a coat, and walk through the park in my pajamas. These walks have helped me process all the changes and the grief, and I have found deep beauty and magic in this urban oasis. I hope we will be able to enjoy his bench and tree for years to come.
