Give to Dee's Homecoming - Elizabeth's Dear Mom

If we could we would all come together, cook a little something, share in circle, pay our respects and recall memories and gratitude for the legacy and warrior family Digna left in the world. Elizabeth, our dignified and dear sister in the movement is going through the difficult time of mourning and preparing for her mothers homecoming with short notice. One is never ready for these things. Digna (Dee) was diagnosed with cancer and within a short time left this world to join the ancestors just yesterday on el Dia de Ochun. Ashe! Elizabeth has been still organizing and feeding our movement while also holding this sorrow for her own fierce and joyful Movement Mother.

 

In the spirit of Ochun and the Orishas, I ask you to contribute what you can to the Homecoming Pot and support Elizabeth and her family in this moment. For many of us that wish we were there to give her a hug, or share the moment but can't this is your opportunity to let her know our movement strength can now hold her through this difficult moment.

Ceremony is scheduled for next week so if you are going to give try to give soon.
