GIVE to Daniel Davenport, the guy that gives so much to US!

Hi, my name is Alyssa Saunders and I am Daniel's first cousin (by marriage to Eric Saunders.)

As many of you may know, Daniel has recently experienced a health crisis that has put him out of work (and coaching, unfortunately.)

In trying to keep this brief, Daniel was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension which caused the beginning stages of heart failure. Thankfully, this was caught with the help of a dear friend of his, as well as, TMC.

Daniel spent the first few days after Spring Break in the Montrose Hospital where they took very good care of him, and thankfully, ordered a sleep apnea test for him. This test is not only very necessary for his recovery and to get back to work, but will ultimately lead to Daniel to resolving his sleep apnea and get him to the place of health, fitness, and happiness he so deserves and we all want him to feel.

There have been so many blessings and silver linings from this event that those close to Daniel are grateful for. Unfortunately, the timing of the crisis isn't ideal as Daniel had already been out of work for 2 weeks due to Spring Break and as of today, has not worked or will not get paid for working since April 5th.

He currently does not know when he will get doctor approval to get back to what he so loves, working at the school. But for some Good News...due to the bridge failure in Gunnison and a bunch of cancellations he can get a sleep study sooner than later (woohoo!) This should help get the information and CPAP machine to get him on his path of sleeping well, and take a big strain off his heart.

As a full time PARA at the school, Daniel does not receive PTO, cannot apply for workers comp, and thankfully is still employed, but therefore cannot receive unemployment.

Many of YOU have asked me, or Daniel, what he needs. Well, the best thing at the moment would be good 'ole CASH. The bills are racking up and Daniel is currently stressed about how he is going to make them.

He has given so much of his good energy and love to our kids, school, community, and even us parents. Let's show him a little LOVE!

No amount is too small as it all adds up. And any amount will help alleviate some of the financial stress Daniel is experiencing, which in turn will allow him to focus on his healing and recovery.
