Hi, my name is Eric Soikkeli, and I’m raising funds for our family dog, Timber.
Over the past few months, Timber has slowed down a lot — limping, struggling with stairs, and needing help to get onto the couch or into the car. X-rays showed he’s torn the ACL in both back knees and needs two separate surgeries as soon as possible to relieve his pain and prevent further damage. Timber is only 3½ years old, and his vet and surgeon have told us that if we can do these surgeries promptly, he has an excellent chance at a long, healthy, normal life.
The surgeon estimates each surgery at $7,700, for a total of about $15,400, and the clinic requires 90% of the cost up front on the day of surgery, which is more than we can manage on our own right now.
Timber is loving, gentle, and has been a huge source of comfort for our little family through a lot of stress and loss. Seeing him in this much pain every day is heartbreaking. With these surgeries and the long recovery ahead, our goal is to give him the chance to walk, run, and enjoy life again.
All donations will go directly toward Timber’s surgeries and recovery — the procedures, medications, and follow-up care he’ll need to heal.
If you’re able to donate, share, or just send good thoughts, we’re deeply grateful. Thank you for helping us give Timber the pain-free life he deserves.
