Hi, my name is Patrick and I am a part of a close group of friends who are setting up this fundraising campaign for our dear friend, Tim Peters. He has been battling a series of life-threatening, Chronic Illnesses for the past 6 years, including:

Lyme Disease
Mold Illness
Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS)
Adrenal Fatigue
Long Covid

With your help, this campaign can give Tim a chance to finally heal and begin living a normal life once again. This campaign is critical as, without our help, Tim will soon no longer be able to afford medical treatments or housing. Virtually all of his medical treatments and costs are not covered by health insurance.

In the summer of 2016, Tim was a vibrant and outgoing 26-year-old working in financial services with a rapidly growing client base. Passionate about his work, he also enjoyed traveling the country, spending time outdoors with friends, and coaching youth basketball. Tim's change from exceptional health to incapacitation was sudden and profound. This incredible human, once always the center of any group, now often lacks the energy to get out of bed. Almost overnight, a perfectly healthy man started having:

non-stop headaches,
dizziness leading to falls,
memory issues,
random vomiting,
swollen glands,
full body pain,
rapid weight loss

After 11 bewildering months of consultations with countless specialists, Tim was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease in June 2017. Soon after, other diagnoses from additional experts followed, ranging from other tick-borne co-infections to rare, difficult-to-treat viruses.

On a daily basis, he experiences the debilitating symptoms of these illnesses that remain complex and expensive to treat:

• constant migraines,

• chronic pain,

• extreme fatigue,

• neurological conditions,

• insomnia,

• cognitive issues

• and dozens of other symptoms

At the advice of his medical team, Tim relocated from Boston to Arizona (eventually landing in Tucson) at the end of 2021 in search of a drier and more consistent climate to help with his symptoms. He bravely sacrificed the life he had in New England, the security of the social and medical network, and a lifetime of relationships, and moved to an unknown city with the sole mission of healing. The experts in Tim’s chronic conditions stress the importance of reducing exposure to mold and toxins, and for more compromised patients, this means seeking out a dryer climate in order to get healthy from long-standing chronic conditions.

Tim is eager to recover so that he can dedicate his life to helping others navigate their difficult path through chronic illness. Tim’s experience has shown him how much others like him are in need of support, guidance, and education. Tim plans to become a health coach, mentor, and advocate in the chronic illness community and continue his training and education beyond his current Reiki & Herbalism certifications.

How You Can Help

Help us get Tim back on his feet! To date, Tim and his family have spent over $180,000 on medical expenses alone. Now Tim, at both a pivotal and advantageous turning point, needs our help if he is going to be able to continue to heal. Tim has to pay roughly 90% of health-related costs out of pocket, even some potentially necessary surgeries, as health insurance does not cover the costs associated with many chronic conditions. The move was expensive, and finding appropriate, mold-free housing especially when housing costs remain such a challenge nationwide, remains challenging. Your support and generosity will go towards Tim’s medical bills and housing for one to two years, in an effort to allow him to recover and thrive for the rest of his life. Without our help, healing and any semblance of a normal life will not be possible.

Here are some specific ways you can aid in Tim’s recovery.

A donation of:

$50 covers a chiropractic treatment, which Tim receives weekly.
$155 covers one physical therapy session, which Tim gets weekly.
$120 covers 1 month of prescription medications.
$280 pays for a round of injections for his headaches. He will need 8 of these injection treatments over the next 12 months, totaling $2,240.
$370 covers 1 month of Tim's core treatment protocol.
$450 covers 1 month of visits with his primary specialist.
$1,500 covers 1 month of his full primary protocol, medications, supplements, and herbs.
$1,600 covers 1 month of rent in clean, safe housing considering Tim's conditions.
