Give Tiger a Second Chance at Life
Tiger is a sweet, friendly community cat I've seen around OC for the past year. He went missing for 3 months and recently came back extremely frail and sick. Despite everything, he is still the same gentle, purring cat who lets me hold him and trust him completely. His personality blossoms whenever he sees a human and he just becomes the cutest boy ever.
His Medical Situation
I rushed Tiger to an urgent care vet on March 13th. He was diagnosed with:
Congestion, possibly a cold
A limp in his hind legs that needs evaluation
A grade 3 heart murmur that was discovered during his exam
He received fluids and a long-acting antibiotic shot, which helped stabilize him. But he is not out of danger. He needs bloodwork (CBC and chemistry panel) to establish a baseline and understand what is really going on inside his body. He also needs his limp evaluated—it could be an old injury, a fracture, or something else entirely.
Why I Am Asking for Help
I have cats at home and cannot keep Tiger long-term due to contagion risk. I have reached out to local shelters, but they cannot guarantee his safety. One shelter told me they would hold him for 7 days without medical care, then evaluate him—and if he is too sick, they may euthanize rather than treat.
I am not ready to let that happen.
What I Am Doing
I am currently fostering Tiger in a safe, quiet space. I only have space for 1 dog crate in my garage and that is not enough space for him to stretch. He is eating, resting, and slowly gaining strength. But he needs veterinary follow-up to survive and become adoptable.
What I Am Offering
I am willing to:
Continue fostering Tiger for as long as needed
Use all funds raised directly for his vet care (bloodwork, limp evaluation, treatment)
Post videos and updates on TikTok and social media to help him find a rescue or adopter
Volunteer my time to support his journey every step of the way
Where the Money Goes
100% of donations will go toward:
Bloodwork (CBC / chemistry panel) at Modern Animal Hospital
Veterinary exam and follow-up
Diagnostics for his limp (X-rays if needed)
Any necessary medications or treatments
If we raise more than needed, excess funds will be donated to a local cat rescue in Tiger's name to help other cats like him.
Thank You
Even if you cannot donate, sharing his story helps. Please let me know if you would like to adopt Tiger, or if you know a rescue that can give him the love and care he needs.
Tiger deserves a chance to be healthy, loved, and safe. This is him a few months ago vs now.
Thank you for reading and for caring about him.
