My name is Alisha, and I’m writing this on behalf of my sister, Tiana, who is going through the most unimaginable pain right now.

Tiana’s life changed forever one terrifying night. Her husband, the family's sole provider, was tragically shot and killed by armed thugs in an unprovoked attack. In an instant, she was left alone to care for her two beautiful children: Jalen (3) and Zuri (5).

Since that night, everything has been a struggle. Tiana lost more than her partner—she lost her stability, her sense of safety, and shortly after, her job. Now she’s doing everything she can to care for Jalen (3) and Zuri (5) on her own, but the weight of it all is crushing.

She’s behind on rent. Bills are piling up. Her neighborhood no longer feels safe. She barely sleeps, worried about how to put food on the table or how to keep her babies safe from the violence just outside their door.

Tiana’s greatest wish is simple: to relocate to a safer environment where her children can grow up in peace, surrounded by hope instead of fear. But she can’t get there without help.

But relocation isn’t easy or cheap. With no source of income and two small children to care for, Tiana urgently needs support to cover the cost of transportation and to move their few belongings safely.
