Give STEAM Books to Kids & Teachers

My name is Dr. Diana Lockwood and, as a classroom teacher, I noticed and continue to see a gap in our science textbooks. They lack female role models and culturally inclusive BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of color) role models. That's why I wrote The STEAM Kids Guide 2 Awesome, Kid Scientist Handwriting Activity Book, and A STEAM Mindset: Teaching the Next Generation to Problem Solve featuring females & diversity in our textbooks. These books teach kids how to set up a Makerspace at home to foster innovation & creativity while they conduct science experiments. The last book is for adults interested in teaching STEAM and learning more about creating maker mindsets in their homes, schools, or enrichment settings.

 

Sadly, NOT all kids can afford books and the same goes for teachers. Help me give them books. It was made for them and influenced by them. These books are based on my dissertation research study and are 100% informed by kids ages 7-10 and teachers too! They told me what they liked and didn't so I could create the best books possible. That's why they're AWESOME!

 

The workbooks teach kids about jobs in the STEM/STEAM (science, technology, engineering, ART, and math) workforce and include interactive DIY activities using items from around the house. Your donation provides inclusive educational materials for kids and their teachers.
