My husband, Robert Gogolack, was diagnosed with ALS in October 2024. In April 2024, he woke up and said he felt like he got hit by a truck. From that date on, he has lost the ability to walk without assistance. In July, he was using a walking stick; by October, he was using a walker, and now he is mostly using a motorized wheelchair. In August, he stopped working due to weakness in his legs and loss of balance. He still wants his independence, and using a car is more difficult since moving his legs is getting harder.
We need help to put in hand controls for the car, so he can remain more independent. Any money donated will go towards purchasing FeatherLite Push/Twist hand controls. Any other money donated will go toward medical bills and other household necessities.
