Give Thanks to Just us Kids, Inc.

In the belated spirit of "giving Tuesday," the end of everyone’s personal tax year, and the holidays in general, we have launched a "Give Thanks" campaign for JUK. We know you're inundated with these requests at this time of year so we appreciate you letting us make the pitch.

JUK is a 501(c)(3) organization and is also an endangered species: a board-run child care center. Unlike the corporate-run child care center model, JUK is run by current parents, alumni parents, and a child development specialist, many of whom are DOJ employees (or spouses thereof) who are volunteering their time. This means the people making decisions that affect your children truly have their interests—not profits—at heart. The last couple years have been rough on JUK fundraising. Social distancing measures canceled our annual fundraisers (the Jumble Sale and Silent Auction). Not to mention the brief COVID-closure and the cost of maintaining COVID precautions (such as cleaning and smaller classes for some time). Accordingly, for 2022 in lieu of asking you to show up to sort and fold clothes for the jumble sale or solicit donations from businesses for the auction, we ask that you contribute to our Give Thanks campaign
