Give Teddy another chance at life

Hi Everyone,
On Wednesday 18th Feb, my fur baby suffered a medical episode at a vet due to negligence and sent him into a heart attack. This resulted in a pneumonia and heatstroke. After about 45mins of begging for someone to help we finally got him incubated after the sedatives given had failed. Due to closing times we had no choice but to call an animal ambulance and get him transported to a referral hospital. He is now in ICU and fighting for his life for what should have been a check up appointment. So far we have covered the costs of the last 24 hours and around the clock care for Teddy. At the moment he is stable and we are working to move him towards his next goal which is to get him off this support and try and breathe on his own. As someone who knows my dog very well, the vet was warned multiple times about his anxiety and health history and this all could have been prevented. I never ask for help but today I am. This is not his fault and he deserves to live too. If you can contribute anything at all to help the next 24-48 hours, that will be life saving.

UPDATE 19/02/26
During extubation Teddy had suffered an allergic reaction to antibiotics given which has delayed his road to recovery but still remains strong.

UPDATE 20/02/26
Teddy had been successfully extubated and moved to oxygen therapy, after careful monitoring he was discharged later this evening and sent home with slight sedation in hopes of making a calm and steady recovery at home.

UPDATE 21/02/26
In the early hours of the morning Teddy had suffered another heart attacked and was rushed back to the referral hospital in time to be incubated again. He is currently stable and we are hoping to get him back on oxygen therapy as soon as possible. It is recommended he has surgery due to a long palette in his throat which contributes to difficulty breathing and to hopefully start anxiety medication due to complex trauma.

UPDATE 22/02/26
Teddy has been successfully extubated and is being closely monitored around the clock until surgery can be discussed on Monday 23rd Feb.
