Hi everyone,

I’m asking for help for our dog Tank, who has just been through an incredibly frightening 10 days. Tank and his brother went missing 11 days ago. His brother made it home after three days, but Tank remained missing. We searched constantly, followed every lead, contacted shelters, missing pet groups on social media, and held onto hope every day.

Yesterday, Animal Control found Tank after someone reported a dog hiding on their property — and after ten long days on his own, he was finally brought home. He’s now been back with us for 24 hours. We're doing small feedings every few hours and encouraging water between resting. While we are so relieved and grateful he's home, we’re beginning to see the physical toll those days took on him.

As Tank starts to perk up and move around, it’s clear that his left hind leg is injured . He urgently needs a vet exam, X-rays, and whatever treatment or surgery may be required.

We have the funds to cover an initial vet visit itself, but the cost of diagnostics, imaging, medication, and especially potential surgery is going to be more than we can reasonably manage on our own. That’s why I’m asking for help.
