Hi everyone, I've never thought I would have to ask the world for help, but right now my family is dealing with something I have never imagined we would. In August, we adopted our furever baby, Tammy. Originally, we wanted a different dog, but Tammy was love at first sight—sassy yet lovable. A perfect match for our home. Through these months, we have loved and nurtured her. We went through house training and even showed Tammy how to love belly rubs.
Yesterday, 1/29, our 2-year-old Chihuahua bled over half our dining room. We panicked and immediately went to the urgent care pet center an hour away, where we were told some devastating news. What was thought to be stones was a mass in her abdomen and bladder. My kids and I were told our furever baby has cancer and has a few months left with us. While we are not ready to give up hope that we will be blessed with a miracle, we are faced with this unfortunate financial setback where one visit cost $1100. Tammy is due to go back in 2 weeks for a repeat ultrasound, blood work, and possible biopsy depending on how she is doing. She was currently put on antibiotics and steroids, as well as pain medication to help her.
We are asking for any help we can get to help us get our girl the care she needs to possibly fight this or at least give her a fighting chance until her time here with us. Anything helps, from a donation to a share to a prayer. My kids are heartbroken over this news. What we thought was going to be years of a journey is turning to short months
