Hi, my name is Maria, and I’m writing this on behalf of my daughter, Syndia is a kind, resilient, and strong young woman who’s going through the hardest moment of her life.

Syndia recently lost both her job and her home. Despite holding two degrees and working hard to better her life, she’s now without stable housing or income. On top of that, she’s fighting to keep her emotional support dog, Mazie, who has been her constant through years of depression, trauma, and setbacks.

She’s been staying temporarily with her grandmother recently and living in a motel prior, but that is no longer an option. And sadly, her father—who lives in Long Island—has not offered support or responded to her most basic needs during this crisis. She has nowhere else to turn.

Why We’re Asking for Help:

Syndia has done everything she can to stay afloat, but she’s at rock bottom. She’s not asking for pity—just a fighting chance. She’s trying to hold onto her dignity and keep Mazie with her, the one soul who’s gotten her through so much.

Right now, she needs help covering basic needs and getting back on her feet. Anything helps, and every share or donation moves her closer to stability and safety.

Hola, mi nombre es Maria y estoy escribiendo esto en nombre de mi hija, Syndia, una joven fuerte, valiente y con un gran corazón que está atravesando el momento más difícil de su vida.

Syndia perdió recientemente su trabajo y el techo donde vivía. A pesar de tener dos títulos universitarios bachillerato y asociado y haber trabajado duro para salir adelante, hoy se encuentra sin ingresos y sin un lugar estable donde vivir. Además, está haciendo todo lo posible por no separarse de su perrita de apoyo emocional, Mazie, quien ha sido su compañera fiel durante años de traumas, ansiedad y depresión.

Ha estado quedándose temporalmente en casa de su abuela y anteriormente un motel, pero esa opción ya no está disponible. Y tristemente, su padre, que vive en Long Island, no le ha brindado apoyo ni ha respondido a sus necesidades básicas durante esta crisis. Estamos sin opciones, y el tiempo apremia.

¿Por qué pedimos ayuda?

Syndia ha intentado salir adelante por todos los medios posibles, pero ha tocado fondo. No está pidiendo lástima, solo una oportunidad para levantarse. Solo quiere mantener su dignidad y poder seguir con Mazie, que ha sido su mayor consuelo.
