Suzy’s story began as a small, scared stray kitten, wandering alone near a supermarket. She had no one... No home, no family, just the streets. She was tiny, timid, and frightened, but fate brought her to my friend, who saw in her eyes the need for love, safety, and care.

He couldn’t leave her behind. Despite living abroad, he did everything he could to give Suzy a home. He went through countless obstacles to bring her safely with him, making sure she wouldn’t be left alone or sent back to the streets. For a time, Suzy finally knew what it was like to be safe, loved, and protected.

But then tragedy struck. A few days ago, a tricycle ran into Suzy. The accident was severe. She was rushed to the nearest veterinarian for emergency care. The vet stabilised her, but her condition was critical, and she needed specialised care in a bigger city.

The next day, she was transferred to an intensive care unit. The first specialist delivered heartbreaking news: she might never see again. Suzy was suffering from multiple serious injuries: internal bleeding, a blood infection, stomach inflammation, and severe trauma to her mouth and gums. She was scared, in pain, and vulnerable, a fighter forced to endure so much in such a short time.

Suzy now faces a critical battle for her life and her future. She needs prolonged hospitalisation, daily care, medications, imaging, and the attention of a specialist. The total cost of her treatment is overwhelming, around 40,000 Egyptian Pounds (EGP). This includes hospital fees, medications, specialist consultations, and emergency procedures necessary to give her the best chance at recovery.

But Suzy is brave. She has survived life on the streets, she has survived being uprooted and brought to a new country, and now she is fighting this terrible accident. She trusts the hands that reach for her, she lifts her head at a familiar voice, and she continues to hope, even in the ICU.

We are asking for help, for donations to cover her emergency care, and for sharing her story so that Suzy’s bravery and fight do not go unnoticed.
