Fundraiser for My Mother’s Final Arrangements
On November 14th at 10:20 AM, my mother, Susan Leah Nonemaker-Dunmire, left this world and stepped into her next adventure. Losing her has shattered my heart in ways I can barely put into words. The grief is heavy… and the silence she leaves behind is even heavier.
My mom fought so many battles—Parkinson’s, schizophrenia, and diabetes—yet she still gave every bit of love she had to her children. She entered a nursing home in August 2019, and even then, she never stopped caring, worrying, and sacrificing for us. She was the kind of mother who would go without just to make sure her children never did.
Now, during the hardest moment of my life, I am trying to make her final arrangements on my own. I am working, grieving, and caring for my special-needs brother, who depends on me for everything. With our limited budget and the daily costs of his care, the financial burden of funeral and cremation expenses has become overwhelming.
I am so close to covering what is needed for her final arrangements… but I cannot reach the finish line alone.
I’m asking—humbly, painfully—for help.
If you are able to donate, share, or offer even a message of support, it would mean more than I can express. Every bit brings me closer to giving my mother the dignity, honor, and peace she deserves.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you for caring.
And thank you for helping me carry this weight during such unbearable grief.
