Give Sulley a Second Chance at Health

This is Sulley. He became a member of our family in October of 2020. It’s hard to explain, but we strongly believe that he was placed in our lives by God’s long game of chess.
We believe dogs are truly amazing; however, this story will demonstrate just how incredible they can be.
In the summer of 2023, every time Sulley’s dad, Andrew, stepped out of the shower, Sulley would obsessively lick the same spot on Andrew's calf. This behavior continued day after day for a month. Jamie, Sulley's mom, had a gut feeling that there might be something more to this, as dogs often sense things that humans cannot. She urged her husband to have it checked out. Andrew was hesitant at first since he experienced no pain in that area. However, he ultimately decided to visit the doctor and explain what had been happening.
After several tests, it was confirmed that Andrew had a rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer known as Undifferentiated Pleomorphic Sarcoma, High Grade. This type of cancer primarily develops near the bone and is often diagnosed at a late stage, as it typically remains unnoticed until it becomes fairly large. However, thanks to Sulley's vigilance, Andrew was able to catch it early.
Sulley didn't just help Andrew—he saved his life.
Back in January, Sulley suffered a tear of his left cranial cruciate ligament. He underwent a necessary and critical surgery to repair the injury, which his mom and dad followed through with zero hesitation. The cost of the surgery was extensive at a cost of $5,000. He had his 8-week follow-up on April 3rd, and the surgery was a success! However, a blow was also delivered. The family was informed that his right leg now has a full CCL tear as well and will require the same expensive surgery to repair. Sulley’s mom was impacted by a workforce reduction by her corporate job at the end of February, which now makes the second surgery a very difficult hill to climb.
Sulley is a one-of-a-kind dog; any help you are able to offer is greatly appreciated.
