Update! We currently have 4 dogs we need to get spayed or neutered, and vaccinated in order to get them into a foster or a forever home, in addition to getting several to clinics so we need to provide gas to volunteers who have offered to help get these beautiful dogs to a spay a neuter clinic. Every donation helps rather its $1, $5 , or $20
Hello animal lovers! Myself and a friend are opening a rescue here in the Primo Tapia area in Mexico. Our rescue name is Second Chances Rescue MX. We don't have a shelter facility, but that's not stopping us from addressing the great need for the street dogs here. Too many litters of puppies are born here every month, and diseases like distemper, kennel cough, and CTVT (canine transmissible venereal tumors) are spreading amongst the street dog population, which can cause harm to pets that have homes.
Our team's goal is to spay and neuter as well as vaccinate as many street dogs as we can and then work with them and try to find them fur-ever homes. This is a huge task for just two people. It is important to help with not only population control but also to keep diseases from spreading. The only way to stop the spread of CTVT is by getting dogs spayed and neutered. We would love to get a monthly clinic going so we can do multiple dogs at once instead of just bringing in a few at a time. It costs up to $80 per dog to get them fixed, and vaccines cost $50 to $70 per dog. The dogs pictured here are ones we have done this for already. Sweet Cruiz (the dog with the longer coat) is a very lucky boy who went to Vegas for a wonderful foster there, and he has gotten a new home!
A donation of $25 can help the puppies with vaccines, and $50 can ensure a street dog gets spayed or neutered. Pictures and updates will be added here as well as on our Facebook page. Every little bit helps. Let's get these dogs their new leash on life and help them with a Happy Tail Ending! Help us help them.
