Help Us Give My Father a Second Chance at Life
My name is Sravani, and I am writing this with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for help for my father.
My father has always been the pillar of our family — a man who spent most of his life away from home, working tirelessly to provide for us. While we were growing up, he sacrificed precious moments with us so we could have stability, education, and opportunities he never had.
He is not just a father; he is a kind, gentle soul with a wonderful sense of humor. Even during difficult times, he made sure we smiled. He carried everyone’s burdens quietly, never complaining, never asking for anything in return. His life has been built on hard work, love, and selflessness. Today, the same man who stood strong for all of us is fighting the toughest battle of his life. He has been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and is currently undergoing regular dialysis. Dialysis keeps him alive, but it is not a cure. It leaves him exhausted, weak, and vulnerable to repeated complications and infections. Watching him suffer like this — a man who has always been so full of strength and life — breaks our hearts every single day.
When it was finally time for him to slow down and spend peaceful years with his family, life had other plans. Instead of rest and happiness, he now faces constant hospital visits, medical procedures, and physical pain. The only long-term solution is a kidney transplant. A transplant offers him hope — hope to live without constant dialysis, hope to regain his strength, and hope to enjoy life again with his family. But the reality is that kidney transplantation is financially overwhelming. The expenses include:
Pre-transplant evaluations and medical tests
Surgery and hospital charges
Post-surgery intensive care and monitoring
Lifelong immunosuppressant medications
Regular follow-ups and management of possible complications
The total cost of transplantation and post-transplant care runs into a very large amount, far beyond what we can manage on our own.
We are reaching out with humility and hope. Any contribution — big or small — will bring us one step closer to giving our father the life he deserves. Even if you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to us.
He gave us his strength when we were too small to stand on our own.
Today, he needs our strength — and yours.
Every single contribution, no matter the size, brings him closer to a life free from machines, hospital beds, and constant suffering. It brings him closer to laughter at the dinner table again, to peaceful mornings, to simply living.
If you’ve ever loved a parent, you understand the desire for just one more healthy year with them. We are fighting for many more.
We promise to share transparent and regular updates throughout his transplant journey — from surgery to recovery and beyond — so you can see the difference your support is making.
From our family to yours, thank you for standing with us in this fight. Your kindness, prayers, and generosity can truly give my father a second chance at life.
