Give Sr. Heba's Family a 2nd Chance and Escape War-Torn Gaza
Donation protected
My name is Sofia Parveen from Florida, USA.
I am raising funds on behalf of my Sister's Qur'an teacher Sr. Heba Rajab Mohaisen and her family currently in Deir al Balah, Gaza. Sr. Heba and her husband, Br. Raed Mohaisen have 5 children (4 girls and a boy). Sr. Heba is the oldest one in her family and she teaches Qur'an while her husband is a freight driver for bringing goods to Gaza. Before the war, they worked really hard to make ends meet while providing for their family and securing a small apartment for themselves near Al-Shuja'iya neighborhood, Al Montar street. The war destroyed everything they built with their hard-earned money. They also lost a brother who recently graduated from a medical school and was volunteering at Al-Shifa hospital to help the injured. One day, the Israeli army raided the hospital and detained Mo'anes as a prisoner. His twin brother, Moamen is a GIS graduate and was working in a chicken breeding farm. Mohammed got engaged and was soon planning to get married but the war changed all dreams and aspirations they ever had.
Sr. Heba's eldest daughter Alaa wants to become a dentist while her second daughter Saniora wants to become a teacher like her Mom. Her son, Mohammed wants to help people in Gaza by bringing all the food he can by becoming a freight driver like his Dad. Aya and Shahed are still very little to talk about their dreams but they do like to play when they are not very hungry or thirsty.
Since the beginning of the war, my sister and I have been trying to help Sr. Heba's family with immediate necessities like food and cleaning supplies. Every single time Sr. Heba would take just enough money to survive and distribute the rest to the people in her camp. Sometimes we had to wait for weeks to hear any response from her. We would pray for her safety and her entire family's safety. There were other times when her people would struggle for the most basic necessity of life - water. We couldn't celebrate even Eid without feeling guilty knowing how the other side of the world was living, in fear, in hunger, in pain, and never-ending suffering.
After months of struggle, Sr. Heba and her husband finally decided to leave Gaza (even though they love their home) and migrate to Egypt so their family can have a second chance at making a living. For each person, it costs $5000 to cross the border. By God's will, if her brother gets released, the total cost for her family's migration is $75,000 and an additional $10,000 for bank transferring cost, Gofundme fees, and remaining for their initial establishment.
Please help Sr. Heba and her family escape the horrors of war and find security, subsistence, and a second chance at Life!
"whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity" - Qur'an Ayah 5:32
May God Bless You and Your Family!
Many Thanks!!!
