Hi everyone. I'd like to take a moment for someone who desperately needs help. You may not know them personally, but you know who they are. Don and Trina Lawrence have been a staple of the community for many years. Some of you may know them as the people that put on the Howleen Manor haunted walk in Fort Saskatchewan. Or you might know them as the house that has all of those amazing Christmas decorations on 99th avenue.

They've raised a lot of money and a lot of food for the local food banks and they even deliver Christmas hampers every year to those in need.

Well, now Don and Trina need our help. Their lovable mascot, Spook has developed some life threatening health issues. He has urinary crystals and mucus built up in his bladder and it is causing him incontinence and to urinate blood. They have tried antibiotics and pain meds but that hasn't helped. Their only option now...is surgery. The problem is that times have become tough and Don and Trina are not able to afford the $2,300 for Spooks surgery. If we don't help them, they'll be forced to say goodbye as Spook travels over the Rainbow Bridge. But good news, if Spook can get this surgery, he'll have a long and healthy life ahead of him.

I have seen the love that this community has and I've experienced it's generosity before. I know we can come together and help give this lovable ball of fluff another chance.
