Well, I never thought I would be in a position where I was asking for this type of help. I’m devastated, My beautiful girl, 8 year old Sophia, has a neck injury and needs surgery. She has a damaged vertebrae in her neck which needs to be removed and she currently has numbness and pain. If I’m unable to raise enough and the surgery doesn’t happen her life is going to be shortened dramatically, eventually she will no longer be able to walk.
Over the last few years my husband, Earl, has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease as well as sugar diabetes and suffered a heart attack (resulting in 5 bypass surgery) one year ago and has dramatically declined since. He can barely get around the house with a walker, so I am now his full time caregiver. Consequently I’m unable to work and our income has been drastically reduced.
Sophia’s surgery is going to cost between $7000 and $10,000, I’ve been told by Dr. S. Dillard at the Veterinary Neurological Center in Tustin. I have set up a go fund me page and I’m hoping to be able to raise enough to pay for the surgery for her. Anyone that knows me knows that I love my dogs dearly. In the past I was always able to properly care for my animals because I was working but that is no longer the case. My Sophia has helped me keep my sanity between Covid-19 and becoming a full time caregiver. I’ll be heartbroken if I can’t help her. Any help is appreciated.
