I am mum to Michaela. A loving little girl who has SEN and goes to St Thomas school. We chose St T’s for its small size (1 form entry) and truly caring ethos which has been instrumental in helping Michaela (and many others) to achieve all that they can. The challenge with St T’s not being as large as some other schools, is that raising money to support our children is more difficult, simply because we don’t have as many parents. Anyway, given the amount of support the school has shown my daughter and I in some fairly tricky situations, I really felt that I wanted to give something back. I read up recently that St Thomas’s has been open since 1900, so we decided we would walk a mile for every year it has been open. Thus our journey of 125 miles over the summer holiday's had begun.
