Give Snowflake a Second Chance at Life
Donation protected
This is Snowflake. He's a sweet boy who was abused by my next door neighbors and then thrown out into the cold to fend for himself.
Originally they just "used him to catch rats" by locking him in their basement and then once he was no longer needed, they threw him away and they're not taking him back. Every day, he wanders the neighborhood, begging people to feed him and let him inside. Almost everyone on my block already has more cats than they can handle (also taken off the street) or they just won't take him in for whatever reason. Contacting rescues/shelters has been useless because everyone is maxed out.
At the moment, I'm doing what I can to keep him fed and I have plans to help him. A friend in New Jersey is going to take him to get neutered this week (if I can manage to trap him, which I'm working on), and also get him necessary medical treatment such as flea treatments, vaccines and also SNAP testing for things like FIV. It's been impossible for me to find a place who will do any of that within the next year in New York (most places want me to wait anywhere between 12 months to 3 years), so I'm super thankful that she found an appointment with her own local vet so soon.
The best part is, once he's neutered and vaccinated and treated for ear mites, I'll be bringing him up to a cat cafe in Rotterdam, NY, where he'll be up for adoption.
The downside is, this is going to cost money. The cost of the neuter, exam, tests, treatments and vaccines will be at minimum $300, which is why I'm asking for some help. I've still got bills for my own cats that I'm paying off, so I need some help to get help for poor Snowflake who deserves a second chance at life and finding a loving home.
Anything helps at the moment, $5, $10, whatever. And if you can't afford to donate, please share this campaign so it reaches the eyes of people who can.
Thanks so much,
-M
